Backward-Loop Cast-On Method

Materials required:

• knitting needles;

• yarn.

If pattern instructions ask you to cast on an x number of stitches using the Backward-Loop Cast-On Method, this is what you do:

*Loop yarn around your right thumb anticlockwise. Insert the right needle under and into the loop, catch the yarn with the needle, remove the loop from the thumb, and pull the yarn to tighten.*

Repeat from * to * until you have cast on the required number of sitches.
